Painting for pleasure

A cooperative art group providing support and advice in a relaxed atmosphere to anyone who likes to paint or sketch. Members will choose their own painting style and provide their own materials and equipment. For the inexperienced painter advice about materials will be provided in the first session.

Students will provide their own materials.  Protection for clothing (apron) is advisable.

Nance Silverman
Nance had an early fascination with art which led her to pursue related studies at school and later commercial art at tertiary level. She is inspired by portrait and figure drawing and prefers to paint with acrylics. Her interests and influences include photography and music, both of which bear the interplay of light, colour and form that has become her trademark.

Nance holds Signatory Membership of the Victorian Artists Society and her work is exhibited in Melbourne, country and interstate galleries and numerous esteemed collections including the Melbourne Club, Mordialloc Council Chambers and various private collections throughout Australia and overseas. She has been a finalist in the prestigious Westpac Maritime Exhibition and is the recipient of countless prizes, awards and commendations.
