A 3 day coach tour 5th – 7th August, 2019
This tour will take participants on a historical and artistic journey of discovery of the Wimmera/Mallee region of Victoria to view the transformation of once derelict grain silos into gigantic canvases which depict the people and history of this agricultural community.
Transformed from derelict structures into Australia’s largest canvases, the Wimmera-Mallee Silo Art initiative depicts the area’s history and immortalizes some of its local residents. Marvel at the size and scale of the innovative project, which has received international acclaim. Not only do you have the opportunity to only view these magnificent works of art, but also to visit the famous Murtoa Stick Shed and the Grampians National Park. Prerequisites: A non refundable deposit of $100 is required upon booking and this tour is open to U3A members and their spouse/companion/partner/friend.
